Biography
Angelique de Limburg
I am a painter whose work explores intimacy, mythology, and the poetics of the natural world. A graduate of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp in 2023, I create images that oscillate between dream and reality, fragility and sensuality. Coming from a family of artists, I first studied economics and art archaeology before fully dedicating myself to painting. My work is marked by a mystical dimension, a fascination with the hidden zones of human relationships, and a deep connection to the cycles of the natural world. The true core of my work is desire: the desire for communion with others, with nature, and with God.
